V401.03 State Facilities or Equipment for Political Purpose
The following rules and guidelines regarding the use of state facilities or equipment for political purpose will be observed:
- The use of state facilities or equipment for political purposes (such as campaigning for or supporting candidates or parties) are prohibited.
- Employees may provide information to or attempt to influence legislators on matters germane to their duties. However, since state law and board policy restricts use of state facilities or equipment for personal or private purposes, employees (other than the chancellor, president, or other employees assigned responsibility for legislative matters such as representatives of the CCF; faculty, staff, and student senates), should not use facilities or equipment to lobby legislators on such matters.
