The Vangstad Auditorium building is located on the south side of campus and was constructed in 1907 to meet the needs of the growing school. The building was named after the Vangstad twins, Lena and Thilda, who taught at the college for many years. Vangstad includes the "Circle Hall" which connects the building to McFarland Hall. The lower level and first floor of the building feature general classrooms, including an IVN Lab. The second floor houses the auditorium. Vangstad Auditorium has been used for commencement, musical and theatrical performance and speaking/presentation events. The lighting and sounds system was recently upgraded and now features high-end equipment.
