Blackboard Original: Make a Blackboard course Publicly Available for Guest Access

Here is how to make a Blackboard course publicly available for Guest Access:

Add the "Guest" user to the course and give it the "guest" role (this ensures that it appears in the public course list).
In the Control Panel, go to "Settings" under Course Options, and set the "Guest Access" to "yes" to set the global guest access for the course.
Under "Manage Tools", click "Tool Availability" and then select the tools you want the Guest to have access to.
Under "Manage Course Menu" you can set guest access to whichever menu items you want (there is no guest access by default).

At this point, the course is publicly accessible. To get to it, go to http://portal.vcsu.edu, click the "Courses" tab, and the course should appear in the Course List.
