VCSU currently uses Blackboard as its Learning Management System (LMS). Faculty are required to post syllabi on the system and are required to use the Blackboard Gradebook. The Blackboard Course Generator is found under My Web Applications in My Blackboard page. Departments/offices also store public material on Blackboard (click on the Content tab, then Institution Content in the menu to the left).
Every course taught at VCSU every semester has a template created in Blackboard in which faculty may use. Faculty members may also bring forward items from previous sections of their courses to the existing course, or they can begin a new one each semester. The Blackboard Course Request is found under My Web Applications in the My Blackboard page of Blackboard.
All institutions in the North Dakota University System (NDUS) are connected via Campus Connection. All functions of the universities run through this system. Students can register for classes, check semester grades, and pay bills via this system. Administration can track students, finances, and reports.
As a faculty member, you will find information on class schedules, courses rosters, advisees, paychecks, and personal contact information. You will need to complete a security process in order to use this system. If you have questions about the security access, please contact the Registrar; if you cannot log in, please call 866.457.6387.
