Disconnected to Network Drive After Changing Password
Disconnected After Changing Password
Anything connected to your computer (using your account) will get disconnected after changing your password.
You might be wondering why you see this "X" or error marks on your network drives. (See sample error screenshots below)
How to resolve this? Follow the steps below.
When opening the network drive and you get this prompt (Windows Security asks for PIN or password), follow the next steps below:
-
Click "More choices", then click "Use a different account". (See sample screenshot below)
-
You will be asked to enter an email and password.
- For email, use this format: vcsu\first.last
- Password: Should be the new password you have set.
(The computer uses your NDUS account but our network drive is locally hosted and we should use the VCSU domain to sign in.)
-
Click "Remember my credentials" box. (See sample screenshot below)
Click "OK" and it should let you access/reconnect to the network drive.
