How to allow new Microsoft Teams to screen share (MacOS)
1. Open System Preferences/System Settings: Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen and select "System Preferences" or "System Settings".
2. Navigate to Security & Privacy: In System Preferences, click on "Security & Privacy". It might also be called "Privacy & Security".
2a. If you had "System Preferences": Within the Security & Privacy window, select the "Privacy" tab.
3. Select Screen Recording: Find and select "Screen Recording."
3a. If you had "System Preferences": Scroll down on the left sidebar to find "Screen Recording"
3b. If you had "System Settings": The option will be in the right hand portion of the window. You may have to scroll down. It will be called "Screen & System Audio Recording".
4. Unlock the Settings: If the padlock icon in the bottom-left corner is locked, click on it and enter your administrator password to unlock the settings.
5. Add Microsoft Teams: Click the '+' (plus) button below the list of apps and a file dialog will appear. You may have to enter your password after clicking on the "+" icon.
6. Navigate to Microsoft Teams: Locate and select the "Microsoft Teams (Work or School)" application. It's located in the "Applications" folder.
7. Enable Screen Recording: Once Microsoft Teams is selected, check the checkbox next to it to grant it screen recording permissions.
8. Confirm Changes: You might be prompted to confirm the changes. If so, click the "Quit Now" or "Restart Now" button. Feel free to test our screen sharing in Teams to verify permissions have been set correctly. If you can see "Screen" and "Window", you have your permissions correct and can share your screen.
