Your Student ID, or EMPLID, is a 7 digit number. This is different then your dotted ID, which is typically FirstName.LastName and may include a middle initial or number. Here are the several places you can find your 7 digit Student ID:

1. Campus Connection - if you know your User ID and Password

• Log into Campus Connection
• Click on the Profile square
• Your ID number will appear in the top left corner

2. Campus Connection - if you do NOT know your User ID and Password

• Go to the Campus Connection website and on the right side, click Campus Connection Guest Page
• Click on the Help Center square
• Click Find My EMPLID on the left panel
• Enter in your social security number (National ID), first name, last name, and date of birth
• Click Submit
• Your Student ID (EMPLID) will populate

3. Email

• When you applied to the school you should have received an email from the North Dakota University System Help Desk (NDUS.HelpDesk@NDUS.edu) - this could have gone to your personal email or VCSU email so be sure to check both
• This email should have asked you to "Claim Your Account" and it included your Student ID (EMPLID)

4. Your Viking Student ID Card

• If you purchased a physical Viking ID student ID card, your Student ID is listed on the front of it. Student IDs are not on the digital Viking Mobile ID cards. To purchase a physical student ID card or gain access to your digital one check out the Viking Card page.
