Library Facility Use Guidelines
Allen Memorial Library welcomes the appropriate use of its spaces to support the University's educational mission. Library spaces foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment and support student success. The Library has two dedicated classroom spaces, two flex lounges, four study rooms, a Music & Media Station and a Quiet Zone space. These spaces are available during all Library operating hours, and users are expected to comply with the guidelines for each. Priority use of the Library spaces is for library operations and library-sponsored programs. Exception maybe be granted by the Director for Library Services or campus Event Services (when appropriate).
- University-affiliated users requiring setup for special events must complete the Special Event Approval Form and a Facility Use Agreement (filed with the Event Coordinator).
- Non-VCSU use of library space must be approved by the Director of Library Services and Event Services. An External Event & Meeting Request Form needs to be submitted. For more information, see the Event Services policies and forms. Requesters may be assessed a fee depending upon the nature of the meeting and whether certain types of equipment and/or a technician's services are required.
