Terminating a Course
To terminate a course go to Course Inventory Management https://nextcatalog.vcsu.edu/courseadmin/ Type the field of study abbreviation, course title, or course code that you want to terminate into the search field Select the course that you want to terminate from the results window Click the Terminate button Make your updates to the form (End Term, and full explanation for Justification for this request) After editing the form, click one of the following: Cancel to not save any changes and return to the previous window Admin Save to save and submit the deactivation proposal but bypass workflow. This button is only available to users with administrator access. Start Workflow to save and submit the termination proposal for approval. All required fields must be filled out before the termination proposal can be submitted for approval. The terminated course proposal will go to the next person in the workflow. The next user in workflow will be sent an automated email to notify the user the terminated course proposal is ready to be reviewed, edited, approved, or rejected. 6. Note that the course can be reactivated by hitting the Reactivate Course button, but first you need to click on the arrow in the Quick Searches box and click on Terminated Courses and then click on the correct course you would like to reactivate. To terminate a program go to Program Management https://nextcatalog.vcsu.edu/programadmin/ Search for the program that you want to terminate Select the program that you want to terminate from the results window Click the Terminate button Make your updates to the form (End Term, and full explanation for Justification for this request) After editing the form, click one of the following: Cancel to not save any changes and return to the previous window Admin Save to save and submit the termination proposal but bypass workflow. The next user in workflow will be sent an automated email to notify the user the terminated program proposal is ready to be reviewed, edited, approved, or rejected. *A previously terminated program cannot be reactivated, it would need to be regenerated within CourseLeaf
