Using ASU Image Accessibility Creator Tool to generate Alt text Overview Having trouble coming up with alternative text to add to your image? ASU's Image Accessibility Creator tool can be used to generate alt text from any given image using AI technology. Benefits: Generate alt text that meets accessibility standards Upload any image file for generating Copy and paste the alt text result into your image How to use this tool Before opening the tool, save the images you wish to generate alt text for into your desired file. Next, click here to open the creator tool. Under image and details, select browse files to search for the desired image, or drag and drop the file. Once your image has appeared, scroll down and select "Create Image Details" Under "Image Breakdown" it may show a long description, alt text, or transcribed text option. We want to use what was generated under "Alt Text" If the generated alt text appears to be adequate, simply copy it, and paste where you wish to add alt text. What if my generated alt text seems wrong or inaccurate? If the generated text does not match the image you entered, or you would like to make your alt text more specific, there is a way to add detail before generating. Scroll down to "Create Image Details" Above, there will be a clickable box that says " Add details about the image" Select this box, and type your image details in the prompt. When you are done adding details, click "Create Image Details" once more to generate a smarter response.

Download instructions Click here to open the CCA download webpage. Select the operating system you will be downloading on. Open the CCA Setup file in your downloads tab. Click through the setup wizard, and select "install" at the end. Note: Allow Color Contrast Analyzer to make changes to your computer. Click finish, the program will now appear on your desktop.

When you open the application, it will look like this: At this point, you can test the colors on your page by clicking on either the background color picker, or foreground color picker. This will open the color picker magnifier to select the desired color to test. Select the foreground and background colors you wish to test. If the contrast ratio meets WCAG standards, the test results will show as passed under 'WCAG 2.1 results" Other features in Color Contrast Analyzer Manual color sliders You have the choice to test any colors you prefer by using the color slider. Color model selection You can change the preferred color model used in the tool to show the color type. Switch colors There is an easy way to flip the foreground color and background color for quicker testing.
