Collaborative Registration Form How-To
Form Submission
- Log into Campus Connection
- Click on the VCSU eForms square
- Click on Records Office on the left panel
- Click on Collaborative Registration on the left panel
- For your Home Primary Institution, select Valley City State University
- Select No for the "Are you submitting this form on behalf of a student?" drop down menu
- Please read the Collaborative Agreement so you understand the enrollment and financial requirements!
- Click the Next button at the bottom of the page
- At the very top of the form it will ask you if you are enrolled in at least one course at your Home institution, which is VCSU
- Then it asks if a Third Party (employer, education reimbursement program, etc.) pays for tuition and fees. Federal financial aid (loans and grants) are not a third party.
- Select the Term you are interested in taking a course collaboratively at another North Dakota University System (NDUS) school
- Select the Provider Institution, which is the other NDUS school you want to take a course at
- From the Enroll Action drop down menu, choose whether you want to Add a collaborative class or Drop one you are already enrolled in
- Click on the Magnifying Glass icon under Class Nbr to search for the course you are looking to add or drop (Hint: Subject Area and Catalog Nbr are the most commonly used search parameters. For example, with GEOL 100, GEOL is the Subject Area and 100 is the Catalog Nbr. However, if you know the Class Nbr of the specific section of a course you want to get into, you may also use that.)
- If you would like to Add and/or Drop multiple courses using one form, you may click the + symbol to Insert A Row or the - symbol to Delete A Row
- At the bottom of the form, read the Acknowledgment and switch it to Yes
- Click the Submit button
Steps After the Form Is Submitted:
- Once the Collaborative Registration eForm is submitted by a student, VCSU's Office of the Registrar receives it
- VCSU's Office of the Registrar confirms that the student is enrolled in at least one course at VCSU
- Then the Collaborative Registration eForm is sent to the Provider institution (the other NDUS school the student would like to take a course at)
- The Provider institution's Office of the Registrar enrolls the student in the course if it is still open and the student has met all prerequisites for the course (this may take a couple weeks)
- The student receives an email from the Provider institution once they enroll them in the course or if there is a reason the request cannot be processed (closed course, prerequisites not met, etc.)
