How to Access the Graduate Studies Organization
Accessing the Graduate Studies Organization Graduate Studies has an organization in the Blackboard Learning Management System that gives all graduate students and faculty access to important help documents, research templates, handbooks and checklists. Follow these steps to access the Graduate Studies organization. Go to https://bb.vcsu.edu and enter your Blackboard login and password. Once logged in, click on the Organizations menu item on the left side of the screen. You can either browse your organizations in the list or use the search function to search for Graduate Studies. Once you are in the Graduate Organization, use the menu to access different parts of the organization like the student resources and forms, faculty resources and forms or the Blackboard Collaborate Meeting rooms. Graduate Studies is not on my list of Organizations!?! If you are unable to see the Graduate Studies Organization, it may be because you have not been enrolled. You can enroll yourself by following these instructions. Go to http://bb.vcsu.edu and enter your Blackboard login and password. Once logged in, click on the Organizations menu item on the left side of the page.. On the upper right corner, click on the Organization Catalog button.. On the Organization Catalog page, you will see tools to refine your search. Use the Search Catalog function to search for Graduate Studies. You do not need to change the creation date or category. Click Go When you see the desired community in the search results, roll your mouse over the NAME of the community, click the DOWN-ARROW and select ENROLL from the menu that appears. You will see a confirmation message that you have successfully enrolled in the community. Click the OK button to exit the confirmation screen. You should now be able to click the Organization menu item and see Graduate Studies in the list of Organizations. .

Graduate Studies Blackboard Collaborate Rooms
Accessing the Graduate Studies Blackboard Collaborate Rooms Graduate Studies has an organization in the Blackboard Learning Management System that gives all graduate students and faculty access to important help documents, research templates, handbooks and checklists. Follow these steps to access the Graduate Studies Blackboard Collaborate Meeting Rooms Go to http://bb.vcsu.edu and enter your Blackboard login and password. Once logged in, click on the My VCSU tab at the top of the page. In the My VCSU dashboard, you have a number of "widgets" that contain links to courses, web applications or other areas of Blackboard. Look for the My Organizations widget and click on Graduate Studies. Once you are in the Graduate Organization, use the menu to access different parts of the organization like the student resources and forms, faculty resources and forms or the Blackboard Collaborate Meeting rooms. After clicking the Meeting Room link in the menu, a new page will open with information on recommended browsers and getting started. To access the meeting rooms click on the Blackboard Collaborate Ultra link. When the new page opens you will see a list of meeting rooms labeled by concentration. This is to avoid scheduling conflicts and dedicate rooms to a specific content area. In some cases the "Main Room" or "Course Room" can be used if there is a conflict. When you click on a room link, a side window will load with a button to Join Session. Click this button to enter. When you enter, follow any on screen instructions for setting up your microphone and camera.

Dual Credit Content Qualifications
The coursework listed below provides a pathway for someone who already has an M.Ed. but needs 18 credits of advanced coursework in their field of study for Dual Credit instruction. You can qualify for a tuition waiver if you are currently employed by NDUS institutions as a dual credit teacher or teaching Advanced Placement (AP) coursework. Verification of employment or delivery of AP coursework must be provided every semester. The waiver application is linked at the bottom of this page. If you need a full master's degree with eligible content, waivers can be used for the 18 credit content sequence. Please refer to the Graduate Catalog for more information on full master's degree programs.
