AA-14 Bachelor of University Studies Degree Plan
The Bachelor of University Studies is designed to allow for the flexibility of designing a course of study that fits the individual student’s interests and goals in life. The degree plan must meet the generally accepted goals of a bachelor’s degree and have the approval of the Vice President of Academic Affairs. This form and program of study must be completed and submitted to the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs for review approval. AA-15 Leave Without Pay Application Form
State Board of Higher Education Policy 701.1 (Leave Without Pay) provides for employee leave (without pay) for professional activities (such as education, research, or temporary employment) that will benefit the institution. AA-16 Leave Without Pay Recommendation Form
The supervisor will complete this form after review of form AA-15. Include an analysis of the impact of the leave on the department or office and provide a specific recommendation. In the case of an affirmative recommendation, the supervisor will state how the applicant’s load will be covered. This Appendix should be used as a guide by faculty, Department Chairs, and Departmental Evaluation Committees to help determine and/or advise faculty on Service workload. It should also be used by Department Chairs to try to divide Committee assignments among Department Faculty. Valley City State University defines an academic field trip as: A faculty supervised activity An activity that is listed in the syllabus Travel that is a required part of a class Travel that occurs off-campus A course related activity Travel that includes an education purpose The duration may be during the class period or longer This definition does not include activities such as: Teacher preparation program activities Athletic activities Student organization activities Capstone activities Internships Field experience Other Practicum activities Faculty will submit AA-22 Faculty Field Trip Request Form for such activities.
