Setup your Viking Mobile ID 


Checklist before setting up: 


  • NDUS username (first.lastname@ndus.edu) and password. Make sure you know your NDUS account info. This is critical as this is what you'll use to sign in. If you have not yet claimed your account, follow the steps here: How to claim your NDUS account.
  • Install mobile apps to your phone:

Google Pay (for Android devices only)

  • Prepare your photo for online submission (only prepare when you opt to send your own photo and not have your photo taken in the Student Center).

Reminder for Android devices: Make sure you have NFC in your settings. If it's not showing, your device is not compatible for mobile ID and will need to get a physical Viking ID.


Steps to follow to setup your Viking Mobile ID: 


  1. Open Transact eAccount app. 
  2. Tap Get Started
  3. Search for "Valley City State University".
  4. Tap "VCSU Active Directory". 
  5. Sign in using your NDUS username and password
  6. Authenticate using DUO mobile.

    The following steps will only work successfully if you have a photo in your account, if not, you will get an error. Follow the steps on How to submit online photo in Transact eAccounts.

    If you have a photo already, proceed to the next steps:
  7. In Transact eAccounts app, next to your name, tap Add to Wallet (either Apple or Google Wallet depending on your device). 
  8. Follow the next prompts > Tap Next > Agree to Terms and Conditions > Next. 


Once done, to confirm and verify, check your Wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Pay) to see your Viking Mobile ID.
