Passport ID: Viking Dan
Viking Dan is doing research for his Capstone project. Concentrating is difficult, and he often feels confused or frustrated on busy websites. Let's take a look at what Dan experiences researching on the web.
- Experience 1.0: Hard to Concentrate
- Experience 1.2: Hard to Read and Understand
Thank you for participating! VCSU will continue to foster an understanding of how people with disabilities experience and use technology. While participating in this passport exercise, we hope you were able to discover empathy on three levels:
- Cognitive: Being able to take another person's perspective.
- Emotional: Sharing experiences. Truly understanding the person's emotional state.
- Compassionate: Being able to feel a person's situation. Feel with them and take action to help.
Note: VCSU uses Silktide tools to support accessible content. The Silktide extension for Chrome and Edge offers built-in accessibility checks and simulations, including color contrast, dyslexia, screen reader views, and more. We encourage you to install it and explore its features.
