Student ID Number (EMPLID)

Your Student ID, or EMPLID, is a 7 digit number. This is different then your dotted ID, which is typically FirstName.LastName and may include a middle initial or number. Here are the several places you can find your 7 digit Student ID:

1. Campus Connection - if you know your User ID and Password

Log into Campus Connection
Click on the Profile square
Your ID number will appear in the top left corner

2. Campus Connection - if you do NOT know your User ID and Password

Go to the Campus Connection website and on the right side, click Campus Connection Guest Page
Click on the Help Center square
Click Find My EMPLID on the left panel
Enter in your social security number (National ID), first name, last name, and date of birth
Click Submit
Your Student ID (EMPLID) will populate

3. Email

When you applied to the school you should have received an email from the North Dakota University System Help Desk (NDUS.HelpDesk@NDUS.edu) - this could have gone to your personal email or VCSU email so be sure to check both
This email should have asked you to "Claim Your Account" and it included your Student ID (EMPLID)

4. Your Viking Student ID Card

If you purchased a physical Viking ID student ID card, your Student ID is listed on the front of it. Student IDs are not on the digital Viking Mobile ID cards. To purchase a physical student ID card or gain access to your digital one check out the Viking Card page.
