As a VCSU student, you have access to a variety of resources designed to support your academic and personal success. Whether you need help with coursework, navigating campus life, or understanding financial aid, we've got you covered.
Disability Support Services
Students with documented disabilities are encouraged to inform the Disability Support Services Coordinators of their needs. Once that office has received and processed documentation, faculty and staff will be informed and will coordinate with students to make necessary accommodations, according to the students' needs.
Technology Services (Help Desk)
The Technology Services offers technical support to VCSU-issued computers and software such as Blackboard, Microsoft Office, and Mac OSX.
Technology Services does not offer support to course-specific software and/or apps such as Prezi, YouTube, or GoPro Quick: refer to course instructor for assistance. On the Technology Services website you can find operating hours, e-mail, phone number, and links to other resources.
Library
The Library offers research help in-person and online, as well as a wide range of materials to support student learning. On the library website, you can talk to the reference librarian, book a study room, find a book or article, and much more.

Viking Learning Commons
The Viking Learning Commons is a relaxed, student-focused atmosphere where students can focus on personal study, receive free tutoring, join a study group, fulfill required athletic study hours, and more. Staffed by knowledgeable professionals, educators, and student tutors, the Viking Learning Commons is a place where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging in coursework. Located in the heart of campus directly under the iconic clock tower in McFarland Hall, this space is surrounded by vaulted ceilings, original woodwork, and exquisite stained-glass windows. The Viking Learning Commons serves as a central hub of student support.
About Starfish
Valley City State University utilizes Starfish, an innovative early-alert system that captures student performance and raises warning flags when students need academic support. Warning flags include attendance concerns, low grades, and in danger of failing. Student Academic Services staff collaborate with faculty to provide necessary and timely outreach services. Outreach services include academic coaching, tutoring, time-management guidance, and personalized monitoring

The Bookstore's website can assist you in purchasing textbooks, course materials, and other great VCSU gifts and apparel.
Student Affairs
Student Affairs works collaboratively with Academic Affairs to provide the necessary student support and educational experiences to enhance student learning. Student Affairs connects the student with various campus resources, such as Career Services, Residence Life, Counseling, Behavioral Intervention Team, Diversity Services, and Student Life. The Student Affairs website also provides links to various documents and reports, including the Student Handbook, FERPA, Campus Security, and policies regarding Alcohol Use, Student Conduct, and Sexual Misconduct.
Consumer Information
The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, requires numerous reports and disclosures from various areas of higher education institutes. This document provides a brief summary of the various documents and information, including complaint compliance, that Valley City State University makes available to the public.
Financial Aid
The Financial Aid office provides information regarding tuition, housing, and other fees. In addition, you can find information on FAFSA, Loans, and scholarships.
Registrar’s Office
The Registrar’s Office website provides links to the Academic Calendar and Academic Catalogs. In addition, you can find various academic forms and information, such as Application for Graduation, Collaborative Registration, Enrollment Verification, Program Change Forms, and Transcripts Requests.
Business Office
The Business Office website provides links to payment options, tuition costs and fees, FERPA release forms, and information about students accounts, holds, tuition waivers, parking permits and the Viking Card.
