How to Install General Purpose AI Tools

How to Access and Use ChatGPT 3.5 via the Web
A. Go to https://chat.openai.com/
B. You can use the free ChatGPT 3.5 from here.
C. If you’d like to save your conversations, click “Sign up” to create an account:
1. Enter your email address.
2. Create a password.
3. Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox.

How to Access and Use ChatGPT 3.5 via Mobile
A. Go to either the Apple App Store (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android).
B. Search for “ChatGPT”. Be very careful to verify that the icon is this:
C. To use the app, you will need to create an account:
1. Open the app and tap "Sign up".
2. Enter your email address.
3. Create a password.
4. Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox.

How to Access and Use Microsoft Copilot via the Web
A. Go to https://copilot.microsoft.com/
B. At the first screen, select “Sign In”.
C. Follow the options to either sign up with a Microsoft Account, or sign in with a Microsoft Account:
1. Enter your Microsoft account email address and password. Your @ndus.edu account will work as a Microsoft account.
2. If you don’t have a Microsoft account, click “Create one” and follow the prompts.

How to Access and Use Microsoft Copilot via Mobile
A. Go to either the Apple App Store (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android).
B. Search for “Microsoft Copilot”. Be very careful to verify that the icon is this:
C. To use the app, you will need to create an account:
1. Open the app and tap "Sign up".
2. Enter your Microsoft account email address and password. (NOTE: Your @ndus.edu email account will work as a Microsoft account) (This is the same username as your @vcsu.edu email account)
3. If you don’t have a Microsoft account, click “Create one” and follow the prompts.

NOTE: If you are entering private data into Copilot, consult the instructions in the AI Review Board FAQ to be certain you are using the enterprise version of Copilot. Entering private data into the non-enterprise version is prohibited.
How to Access and Use Google’s Gemini via the Web
A. Go to https://gemini.google.com/app
B. Select “Sign in” at the top left corner.
C. Sign in with your Google Account, or create one on this page:
1. Enter your Google account email address and password.
2. If you don’t have a Google account, click “Create account” and follow the prompts.

How to Access and Use Google’s Gemini via Mobile
A. Go to either the Apple App Store (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android).
B. Search for “Google Gemini”.
1. For iPhones, this will be the Google App, under the Gemini Tab.
2. For Android, this will be the Gemini App.
C. Open the app. You will be prompted to sign into your Google Account:
1. Enter your Google account email address and password.
2. If you don’t have a Google account, click “Create account” and follow the prompts.
