Transact Online Photo Submission
Students and employees can submit their own photo to be used on their Viking ID Card by using the Transact online photo submission in eAccounts. Note that this requires a valid NDUS user account with the proper credentials (username and password). The following instructions show how to do this. Process of submitting a photo (eAccounts website or mobile app): Note: Access into eAccounts requires DUO multi-factor authentication. For assistance with DUO: Installing DUO, Register iPhone/IOS, Register Android Devices eAccounts Website: To get started, visit: https://vcsu-sp.transactcampus.com/eAccounts Instructions for NON eAccounts users (if you have never signed into eAccounts): Log in using your NDUS credentials (and follow the DUO instructions when prompted). Verify Your information. Choose “Upload your Photo” (JPG/JPEG Only). Select a file/crop as needed. Submit your photo. Instructions for eAccounts users (if you have previously signed into eAccounts): Log into eAccounts (and follow the DUO instructions when prompted). Select Profile. Select the “Click to submit a new photo” link. Before you are able to submit your photo, you must click to accept the Terms and Conditions. Once you accept the Terms and Conditions, a new tab will open. Click on the cloud logo/upload link, select the photo you want to use, and click “open”. Repeat the step to upload a photo of your government issued ID and select Submit. The Student Center Information Desk will email you with approval or next steps if your photo cannot be used. eAccounts Mobile App (iPhone/IOS and Android): Install the Transact eAccounts Mobile App if you haven't already. It is available at the Appstore for Apple devices, and Google Play for Android devices. Open the eAccounts app. Click through the startup screens and tap Get Started. Search for VCSU and click through to the Viking ID login screen. Enter your username/password to authenticate (and follow the DUO instructions when prompted). In the app, tap the little gear icon in the upper right corner to open Manage Account. Tap "Submit ID Photo" and follow the instructions from there to upload your photo. Please note the photo requirements below. Once your photo is submitted, the Student Center Information Desk will verify your information to ensure your security. You will receive an email when your identification photo is approved. PHOTO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Photo Requirements We'll need a recent color photo with a plain, neutral background (white, off-white, cream, beige, light gray). Your photo should display your head, including both face and hair, from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin, and from hairline side-to-side, similar to a driver’s license or passport. Senior/high school graduation photos are not acceptable. Head coverings are acceptable due to religious beliefs, provided the head covering shows a full front view of the face, does not cast a shadow onto the face, shows an overall pattern in the fabric or material (not a graphic design). Adequate documentation for the person wearing a traditional facemask or veil is required. Prescription glasses may be worn for the photo; however, there should be no reflections from the eyeglasses that obscure the eyes. Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless they are needed for medical reasons. A medical certificate may be required. The key requirement for your Viking card is that the photo clearly identifies the cardholder. Tips for submitting an acceptable photo: DO Current color photo in focus, without any added effects Neutral color and smooth background Centered and front view of full face Cropped from just above the top of the head to the collarbone Proper lighting Eyes open and visible, looking at the camera Wear prescription glasses if you normally do so Photo in [jpg format size between 300KB to 2MB] DON’T Wear hats, sunglasses or other items that obscure the face Glare on glasses; closed eyes Eyes looking down or to either side. Shadows on the face Other visible people, pets or objects in the photo Inappropriate expressions Group Photos Blurry Photos Black and White photos Photos with your hand resting on your face Crop off the top of your head or side angle your face Photos taken more than six months ago Note: Taking a photo with most smart phones/devices works well Experiencing technical issues or have questions? Viking Mobile ID Setup for Apple Devices (iPhone and Apple Watch)
Set-up for iPhone and Apple Watch Users NOTE: You must have an iPhone SE or 6s or later running iOS 12 or later. For Apple watch, it must be series 1 or later running Watch OS 5 or later. Setting Up Mobile ID on iPhone or Apple Watch Download the Transact eAccounts mobile app from the App Store to your phone. Open Transact eAccounts. Click through the startup screens and tap Get Started. Search for "Valley City State University" and click through to the Viking ID login screen. Enter your username/password to authenticate your device. If you have not set up your account, please see Photo Submission/Preparation. Once you have successfully authenticated in eAccounts, click the Add to Apple Wallet button to add your Viking ID to Apple Wallet. You can add your student ID to one iPhone and one Apple Watch. a, Click iPhone and continue through the prompts (Next, Agree to Terms & Conditions). b. When the process is complete, the app will send a notification to verify your Viking ID has been added to Wallet. c. Tap Done in the upper right corner to return to the Home screen of the app. d. You can now add your Apple Watch using the same process. Adding Your Mobile ID to Apple Wallet on a Second Device Repeat steps 1-5 to login to the Transact eAccounts Mobile App. Ensure your second device is signed into the same iCloud account as the first device. From the Campus ID screen in Transact eAccounts, tap the in the upper right corner of your Transact Mobile Credential display. Tap Add or Remove Campus ID from Wallet. Choose your second device to add your Transact Mobile Credential. On the Add Card to Wallet screen, tap Next in the upper right corner. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete adding your card. Viking Mobile ID Setup for Android Mobile Devices
Set-up for Android Users NOTE: Your Android phone must be version 6.0 or later and an NFC enabled device capable of supporting Google Pay or Samsung Pay. Setting Up Mobile ID on Android Enable NFC on your phone in your Settings menu. NFC settings can be found in different areas of the Settings menu, depending on your device. A common location is Connected Devices>Connection Settings. (If not found there, use the Search option on the top right to double check.) Toggle the NFC setting to On. Open Google Pay and make sure it is enabled as the default payment application. If the app prompts you to add a credit card, you can bypass that screen and return to the Google Pay home screen. Download the Transact eAccounts Mobile app from the Google Play Store to your phone. Open Transact eAccounts, click through the startup screens and tap Get Started. Search for VCSU and click through to the Viking ID login screen. Enter your username/password to authenticate your device. If you have not set up your account, please see Photo Submission/Preparation. Once you have successfully authenticated in eAccounts, click the Add to Google Pay button to add your Viking ID to Google Pay. a. Continue through the prompts (Next, Accept the VCSU Terms & Conditions). b. Next, Accept the Google Pay Terms of Service. c. The next screen will confirm that the ID has been added to Google Pay. Once you have completed the Mobile Credential setup on your device, you can use it in place of your physical Viking Card. If you have problems trying to set up the Mobile ID, see the following article: Viking Mobile ID Setup Problems NOTE: If you keep your Transact eAccounts app open on your phone, it will prevent having to sign in to your phone when using it for door access, meal purchase, etc.

Viking Mobile ID Setup Problems - Steps to Try to Resolve the Problem
In the event of problems setting up the Viking Mobile ID on your mobile device, you can try the following steps: Transact Administrator - toggle the "Mobile Procurement" checkbox - uncheck, click "OK", close the account, reopen, check the checkbox, and click "Apply" or "OK". - Make sure the device has the latest software updates - Remove the eAccounts app if it is installed - Shutdown (power off) the device, then restart it - Install eAccounts app again, log in and try to set up the Viking Mobile ID again
